মুজিবনগর উপজেলা
মুজিবনগর উপজেলা বাংলাদেশের মেহেরপুর জেলার অন্তর্গত একটি প্রশাসনিক এলাকা।
এই উপজেলার উত্তরে মেহেরপুর সদর উপজেলা, পূর্বে চুয়াডাঙ্গা জেলার দামুড়হুদা উপজেলা ও মেহেরপুর সদর উপজেলা, দক্ষিণ ও পশ্চিমে ভারতের পশ্চিমবঙ্গ।
এই উপজেলার ৪টি ইউনিয়ন হচ্ছে -

- বাগোয়ান ইউনিয়ন,
- মুজিবনগর মহাজনপুর ইউনিয়ন
- মোনখালী ইউনিয়ন
২০০০ সালের ২৪শে ফেব্রুয়ারি এটি উপজেলা হিসাবে যাত্রা শুরু করে। মুজিবনগর উপজেলা জনসংখ্যা ও আয়তনের দিক দিয়ে মেহেরপুর জেলার সবচেয়ে ছোট উপজেলা। মুজিবনগর উপজেলার উত্তরে মেহেরপুর সদর উপজেলা, পূর্বে চুয়াডাঙ্গা জেলা, দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমে ভারতের পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্য অবস্থিত। মুজিবনগরের পুর্ব নাম বৈদ্যনাথতলা। পরবর্তীকালে এখানে আনুষঙ্গিক সুবিধাদিসহ ‘‘স্বাধীনতা স্মৃতিসৌধ’’ নির্মাণ করা হয় এবং বর্তমানে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের স্মারক ঐতিহাসিক স্থানটিকে পর্যটন কেন্দ্র হিসেবে গড়ে তোলার লক্ষ্যে মুক্তিযুদ্ধ ষ্মৃতিকেন্দ্রসহ ‘‘মুজিবনগর কমপ্লেক্স’’ নামে একটি বৃহৎ প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নাধীন রয়েছে। ‘‘স্বাধীনতা স্মৃতিসৌধ’’ বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধের গৌরবময় ঐতিহ্যকে লালন করে চলেছে। মুক্তিযুদ্ধ স্মৃতিকেন্দ্র সহ মুজিবনগর কমপ্লেক্স এর নির্মাণ কাজ সমাপ্ত হলে স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধের সেক্টর ভিত্তিক গৌরবজ্জ্বল চিত্র ফুটে উঠবে।
মুজিবনগর উপজেলা মেহেরপুর জেলায় অবস্থিত সবচেয়ে ছোট উপজেলা। ১৯৭১ সনে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময়প্রসিদ্ধ বৈদ্যনাথতলা আম্রকাননে বাংলাদেশের অস্থায়ী সরকার গঠিত হয় এবং ১৭এপ্রিল অস্থায়ী সরকারের মন্ত্রি পরিষদ শপথ গ্রহণ করে। জাতির জনক বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানকে অস্থায়ী সরকারের প্রথম রাষ্ট্রপতি ঘোষণা করা হয়। মুজিবনগর সরকারের প্রধানমন্ত্রি তাজউদ্দীন আহমেদ বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান এর নামের সাথে মিল রেখে এ স্থানের নামকরণ করেন মুজিবনগর।
Mujibnagar Upazila
Mujibnagar Upazila is an administrative area of Meherpur District, Bangladesh.
This upazila is bordered by Meherpur Sadar Upazila to the north, Damurhuda Upazila and Meherpur Sadar Upazila of Chuadanga District to the east, and West Bengal, India to the south and west.

It started its journey as an upazila on 24 February 2000. Mujibnagar Upazila is the smallest upazila of Meherpur District in terms of population and area. Meherpur Sadar Upazila is located to the north of Mujibnagar Upazila, Chuadanga District to the east, and the Indian state of West Bengal to the southwest. Mujibnagar was formerly known as Baidyanathtala. Later, the "Independence Memorial" was built here with ancillary facilities and currently a large project called "Mujibnagar Complex" including the Liberation War Memorial is being implemented to develop the historical site of the Liberation War as a tourist center. "Independence Memorial" continues to cherish the glorious tradition of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. When the construction work of the Liberation War Memorial and the Mujibnagar Complex is completed, a glorious picture of the sector-based liberation war will emerge.
Mujibnagar Upazila is the smallest upazila located in Meherpur district. In 1971, the Provisional Government of Bangladesh was formed at Baidyanathtala Amrakanan, which was famous during the Liberation War, and the cabinet of the Provisional Government took oath on April 17. The Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was declared the first President of the Provisional Government. Tajuddin Ahmed, the Prime Minister of the Mujibnagar government, named this place Mujibnagar in keeping with the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
